It’s Friday so let’s talk wine. Our Private Label Red Blend is primarily Merlot, but blended with Tannat, Petite Sirah, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Sauvignon. The fruit for this red blend was harvested in early October 2016 and pressed at the end of October to early November. 40% of the wine was aged for 2 years in barrel, maturing in new French and French-American hybrid oak barrels, which softens the wine and adds layered complexity. The remaining wine of the blend was fermented in stainless steel tanks.
